Information you choose to share
Our quote form asks for your name, email, phone number, installation address or area, and the services you are interested in. You can also provide project notes, photos, a preferred weekday visit date and time, and a referrer's name. Optional fields can be left blank.
Checklist requests ask for your name and email. A phone number and a request for project follow-up are optional. The request also identifies the checklist and article you selected.
Please share only information relevant to your project. Avoid including identity documents, payment details or unrelated personal information in messages or photos. Get permission before providing someone else's contact details.
How we use your information
We use quote details to respond to your inquiry, assess the requested work, prepare a quote, coordinate a possible site visit and follow up about your project. Information about accepted work may also be needed for installation, service and warranty support.
For a free checklist, a successful submission provides an immediate PDF download and sends our team a notification of your request. The PDF is not automatically emailed to you. The optional project follow-up checkbox tells us whether you would like help with your project; it is not a newsletter subscription.
Sending an inquiry or requesting a checklist does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails. You can ask us to stop optional follow-up at any time.
If you send a question through a Green Notes article, we receive your name, email address, question and the article it came from. We use these details to reply. The question and email are not published on the website, and sending a question does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Who handles the information
Website inquiries are directed to our company mailbox, info@greenoriginenergy.com. Our team uses the information to handle your request. Website hosting, email and business service providers may process information as needed to deliver those services. Project information may be shared where needed to carry out work you request, with your consent where required, or where the law permits or requires it.

Website technology and external services
Our hosting services may process technical information such as an IP address, browser details, requested pages and the time of a request to operate and secure the website. The checklist and article question forms also use temporary abuse-prevention records to limit repeated submissions.
The contact page includes an embedded map. Loading it can send technical information to the map provider. Social media and other external links take you to services with their own privacy practices. You can contact us by phone or email if you prefer not to use an embedded service.
The site's search works in your browser. It does not submit the words you type to an external search provider.
Website analytics
When Google Analytics is enabled on our public website, it records page visits, clicks on our business phone number, successful quote requests, successful checklist requests, clicks on the resulting download link and successful article questions. Checklist requests and article questions are counted separately from quote requests. A phone click does not tell us whether a call connected.
Analytics events do not include the name, email address, phone number, address, message or photos you enter in a form. Google Analytics can use cookies and process technical information about your browser and device. Analytics does not run on our private preview site. Keeping and protecting information
Information is kept for the purposes described here and for applicable business or legal requirements, including records related to accepted work and warranty support. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security.
Contact us about the retention or deletion of a particular record. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or support an ongoing service relationship.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before discussing or changing a record. A withdrawal may affect our ability to complete a service that needs the information.
